The Jaguar TCS Racing team endured mixed fortunes at the recent Diriyah double-header in Saudi Arabia, forming the second and third rounds of the 2023 FIA Formula E season. The team's drivers, Sam Bird and Mitch Evans, registered good results, but it wasn't enough to get the excitement going.

Jaguar TCS Racing will be the first to admit that the team must up its game to have a say in the championship outcome. In Race 1, Bird finished third, leading it for 23 laps.

However, former Formula 1 driver Pascal Wehrlein passed him for the position, with Jake Dennis relegating him to third five laps later.Starting sixth, Evans eventually ended the race in eighth place, but a five-second time penalty dropped him to tenth. In Race 2, Evens came home in seventh, while Bird was fourth.Bird said: "I'm incredibly happy with the pace of the car and that I was able to secure the fastest lap in Diriyah, but there was a podium on offer.

We had great efficiency, but after the safety car, the race became a flat-out sprint, which made it really challenging to overtake.
