Celtic remain interested in luring Paris Saint-Germain teenage sensation Edouard Michut to Parkhead, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph. Ange Postecoglou, who is preparing for his second season at the helm following his appointment last summer, is keen to add Michut to his squad before the September 1 deadline.
According to Sky Sports, Celtic are targeting Michut and preparing to test PSG’s resolve by lodging a £2million bid. The report suggests the proposal will fall short of what the reigning Ligue 1 champions are hoping to recoup, with them setting a £5million asking price, while Sevilla, Nice and Toulouse are also interested in the nine-cap France under-19 international.
Postecoglou has admitted to seeing Michut as a ‘good player’, but the Celtic manager played down suggestions that the teenager is on his way to Glasgow.
The attacking midfielder has been restricted to eight senior appearances for PSG, with the vast majority of those outings coming last season.
