A girl accused of murdering Brianna Ghey told a jury she heard a scream and turned to see her co-defendant stabbing the teenager to death.
The teenager, who became tearful at one stage of her evidence, said she saw Brianna wasn't breathing, became 'scared', 'panicked', and ran out of the park with the other youth.
She said she feared she would be 'overpowered' if she tried to step in and admitted she sent messages to Brianna the next day 'to cover myself' and lied to police when she was arrested.
Brianna, 16, a transgender girl, died after being stabbed 28 times in a park near Warrington earlier this year , the jurors have been told.
