BREAKING: Police cordon off street in Manchester city centre after reports of person on scaffolding

Police cordoned off a major road near Manchester city centre on Monday evening (July 10) following reports of a topless person climbing on scaffolding.

Fire crews, paramedics and police cordoned off part of Oxford Street, beside the Palace Theatre, as emergency services continued to respond to the incident.

Pictures and videos shared with the Manchester Evening News appear to show a topless person climbing up scaffolding on a building with police tape blocking off the main road into the city centre. Greater Manchester Police and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for further details. This is a breaking story.
