Brighton have handed Billy Gilmour’s brother the chance to win a deal. Record Sport understands Harvey Gilmour is currently training with the Seagulls’ development squad.

The 17-year-old is a free agent after leaving Kilmarnock at the end of the season. The teenage midfielder is now looking to follow in the footsteps of his older sibling.

Scotland star Gilmour moved to Brighton last summer in a big-money move from Chelsea. He struggled to make his mark but under Roberto De Zerbi he has become more of a central figure for the English Premier League shock troops.

They made their first ever European appearance on Thursday night as they kicked off their Europa League group stage campaign against AEK with a 3-2 home defeat.
