BBC Gladiators viewers are celebrating following the rebooted show's first victory. Contestant Finley managed to win despite suffering what appeared to be a serious injury earlier on in the show.
Halfway through the show, Finley suffered a knee injury that saw him take a quick break away from the camera. However, after spending time on the medical table and getting examined, he made a massive comeback which was met by thunderous applause.

Following his triumphant victory, Finley said: "I'm glad that I pushed through because I'll be honest it weren't looking good back there, I were getting upset it were all overwhelming. "I'm just glad I had the chance to put on a show for everyone who's watching here and everyone who's watching at home." Viewers were similarly celebrating with Finley, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter: "Brilliant performance by Finley in the eliminator, with that knee injury." A second said: "Nice one for Finley there, despite that knee injury.
