Kali ini tembakan Miguel Gutierrez yang membawa Girona memimpin 2-1 sampai turun minum. Girona memperbesar keunggulan menjadi 3-1 di babak kedua lewat Valery Fernandez.

Ilkay Guendogan kemudian menipiskan kekalahan Barcelona menjadi 2-3 di injury time, tapi Girona cepat membalas menjadi 4-2 lewat Cristhian Stuani.
