Ayah gelandang Liverpool Luis Diaz telah dibebaskan usai diculik sekitar dua pekan silam. Ia pulang dalam keadaan selamat. Luis Manuel Diaz dan istrinya, Cilenis Marulanda diculik oleh Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) atau Tentara Pembebasan Nasional Kolombia pada 28 Oktober silam di pom bensin di kota Barrancas.

Marulanda kemudian dibebaskan dalam hitungan jam. Kondisi ini sempat membuat konsentrasi Diaz terganggu hingga sempat membuatnya absen membela Liverpool.

Namun BBC dan The Athletic mengabarkan sang ayah telah kembali. ELN menyerahkannya kepada ofisial PBB dan perwakilan gereja setempat.
