'As things stand...' - Sky Sports reporter hands Leeds a big boost

Leeds United want to keep Jack Harrison at the club this season amid Premier League interest in their winger this summer. That is according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton, who was speaking to GiveMeSport about the Whites’ potential transfer business going into the final weeks of the window.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Newcastle United have had a €40m (£33.7m) bid for Harrison’s services turned down this summer, with this falling short of the Elland Road side’s £40m valuation.

However, it seems that Newcastle may have moved onto other targets, with the club having had a bid of over £40m rejected for Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison earlier this month.

And Thornton believes that not only do Leeds not want to sell the winger, but he can’t see Harrison pushing for a move away from Elland Road, either.
