The 2021/22 Premier League season was heavily disrupted by Covid-19. Fans were back in the stadiums from the start and all the way to the finish, but the virus sadly still had a significant impact on proceedings.

During the winter months, things got pretty bad, to the point where games were being cancelled left, right and centre. Players and staff were all catching the virus, which meant that there were plenty of absentees when a match was actually allowed to still go ahead by the English footballing authorities.

When Arsenal hosted Manchester City on January 1st, they were without manager Mikel Arteta after he contracted Covid-19 for the second time.

But despite the fact he was unable to be around his players in person, the Spaniard still delivered a magnificent pre-match team talk courtesy of Zoom.
