Javi Gracia has been appointed as Leeds United head coach -– ending exit rumours surrounding Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou for now.
The Australian has already been linked with Premier League switches at clubs such as Everton, Brighton and Wolves this season, with the Elland Road club reportedly admiring him as a potential candidate in the wake of Jesse Marsch's sacking.
Their search for a new leader has been long though as they suffered multiple knockbacks, amid speculation rumbling on over whether or not Postecoglou could depart a Scottish Premiership side he's had huge success at since arriving in 2021.
It's been put to bed for now though as Spaniard Gracia arrives on a 'flexible' contract. It will be of some relief to the Celtic faithful as the announcement comes on a day where Australian reports suggested the plan may be for Postecoglou to take charge at Leeds United when the summer rolls around.
