Andy Robertson delivered Rangers clash promise as Liverpool deputy vows to make him proud against boyhood rivals

Celtic fan Andy Robertson is set to miss out on tomorrow's Champions League Group A showdown with Rangers but Kostas Tsimikas has promised the Hoops daft defender Liverpool won’t let him down.

The Scotland skipper is still struggling with the knee injury that saw him sit out last week’s Nations League triple header and Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp is preparing to go with his Greek understudy at left-back when they host Gio van Bronckhorst’s side at Ibrox.

Tsimikas knows how much Robbo would love to be lining up against his boyhood club’s bitter rivals for Liverpool and has vowed to take care of business in his absence.

He said: “First of all, Andy is a very good person and a world class player. Whatever I need when I play, he is always there to help me and to show me what I can do better or to help me find where I have to cross, where is the gap.
