Rangers hope Alex Lowry will be back in anything between four to six weeks. The talented midfielder was stretchered off after a horror challenge in Tuesday’s Challenge Cup clash with Dumbarton.

Lowry was caught after a poor tackle by Dumbarton’s Ally Love against Rangers B. The Ibrox youngster ran out 7-0 winners over the Sons with Lowry bagging a hat-trick in the convincing win.

New signing Zak Lovelace was also on target alongside first team hopeful Charlie McCann, Stephen kelly and substitute Alex Lyall.

However, Lowry's game was ended early after a shocking tackle from Love as the game drew to a close. The youngster has been pictured with a knee brace and on crutches in the aftermath.
