Aberdeen offer Viaplay Cup Final apology as mischievous Rangers fans claim 'we've got your tickets'

Aberdeen chief executive Alan Burrows has offered a weighty apology to frustrated fans as Rangers punters claimed they've nabbed their rivals' briefs for the Viaplay Cup Final.

The Dons pitch for a 50/50 split at Hampden was tossed out by the SPFL but a fresh storm emerged as a host of Aberdeen regulars stewed they had missed out on the initial batch of 17,000 after they went on general sale hours after they were made available to points holders of over 200.

Aberdeen insist the rush to land prized briefs proves they deserved a split while Rangers followers claim they have been filling their boots with match tickets set aside for their rivals once they went on general sale.

Burrows has promised regulars will be the priority when Aberdeen make the final batch of 2500 tickets available for the final at the national stadium.
