4 key Motherwell vs Celtic ref calls from 'surprise' Yang handball snub by VAR to unanimous red card verdict

It was far from an easy afternoon in Lanarkshire for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers' troops required a late show once again at Fir Park to fire down Motherwell.

Blair Spittal handed the Steelmen a lead at the break, but a spirited second half performance from Celtic saw Adam Idah level seconds after the restart.

And with the clock ticking towards the full-time whistle, Idah popped up in injury time to net again before Luis Palma put Celtic's victory out of reach of Stuart Kettlewell's men and cut the gap on Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers to two points.

And aside from the flying finale the game was not without flashpoints for referee Willie Collum and VAR official Gavin Duncan to deal with during the end-to-end encounter.
