MTNRegistration for the forthcoming MTN CHAMPS Ibadan, set to hold from November 9 and 11, has officially closed with over 2,000 athletes from 107 Schools and 32 junior teams registered for the competition. The entry for the Ibadan leg has broken all athlete and school registration records.A statement by the organiser, Making of Champions (MoC), yesterday, directed athletes/schools to stop registering for MTN CHAMPS Ibadan, as it will no longer count.According to the organisers, Ibadan will be the final before the final.“In an unprecedented move, MTN CHAMPS will now take over Ibadan across two locations – at the Lekan Salami Stadium on November 9 to 11, for the youth and junior events, as well as the finals, which will also hold at the University of Ibadan Sports Complex simultaneously on November 9 and 10 for the cadet heats and preliminaries.“Schools will win the team titles and also qualify for the grand final in Abuja.”The statement stated that it is compulsory for at least one parent or legal guardian of each participating athlete to sign the parental consent form, which can be downloaded from www.mtnchamps.com.“All athletes must also print the one-page parental consent form for their parent or legal guardian to sign and return at bib collection – a recognised contact of each athletes’ school/team should coordinate collection of their bibs and the return of their signed parental consent forms,” the organisers said.Get the latest news delivered straight to your inbox every day of the week.
