Steve Bruce lauds Ange for Tottenham transformation but 'incredible' Celtic job praise comes in Scottish football swipe

Steve Bruce has lauded Ange Postecoglou's undefeated streak at home domestically as Celtic manager - before immediately providing a Scottish football is "easier" statement.

The experienced English manager has watched the Australian catch Premier League attention with his high-octane attacking style inspiring Tottenham to a 2-0 win against Manchester United last weekend. It's got the pundits talking down south but Celtic fans knew what was waiting for those at Spurs after he delivered five trophies in two stunning seasons in Glasgow.

Speaking on the Tippy Tappy podcast, former Newcastle boss Bruce was impressed with the style and was in awe of Postecoglou going trough his entire Parkhead reign unbeaten domestically on home soil, but he thinks the Premiership opponents played its part in that. He said: "I see the difference at the weekend the new Spurs manager, I have never met him before, but you see the way he comes over. You see the way he speaks. You could see Spurs transform. They are without (Harry) Kane, he's got on with it.

"They played really well against Man U, really good to watch. You watch him from afar at Celtic, he never lost at home at Celtic. It's an incredible record, I know it's a bit easier up there."

Next up for Postecoglou and Spurs is an away match with Bournemouth. They have managed to pick up a draw with Brentford away from home and the impressive win against Man United to start the term, off the back of a summer dominated by talisman and captain Kane departing for Bayern Munich.
