Rangers squad revealed as Morelos, Yilmaz and Devine set to benefit from rotation pledge

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has admitted that he will need to make several changes to his side in tonight's Premier Sports Cup quarter final tie against Dundee at Ibrox.

The Dutchman is wary of the gruelling fixture list facing Rangers between now and the break for the World Cup in Qatar next month but will also be desperate to add to the Scottish Cup he won with the club last season. The Light Blues bounced back from the humiliating 7-1 drubbing by Liverpool in the Champions League last week with a 2-1 victory against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday and will now look to gather some momentum with another win against Championship side Dundee.

They are set to be boosted with the return of Jamaican forward Kemar Roofe who has been included in a match day squad for the first time this season, having not played for the club since picking up an injury in the Europa League Final last May. Ridvan Yilmaz has struggled to find regular game time at Ibrox, but the Turkish international left back is set for a start tonight with Borna Barisic likely to be rested. Jon McLaughlin is expected to come in for Allan McGregor between the sticks, with Fashion Sakala, who was a surprise omission from the weekend victory at Motherwell, set to start in the Light Blues front three.

Gio van Bronckhorst confirmed that skipper James Tavernier will be available for the match, but he may opt to rest the Englishman ahead of the Premiership clash with Livingston on Saturday. That could mean a start for young star Adam Devine at right back, whilst fellow Academy graduates Leon King and Charlie McCann are also likely to be involved. Alfredo Morelos has found the net just twice so far this season and could see tonight’s tie as a big opportunity to get
