You've been chopping watermelon wrong – simple hack makes it easier to serve

To mark National Watermelon Day today (Saturday, August 3) what better way to get in the mood than to learn how best to cut the tropical fruit?

Taking to TikTok, home experts Crate and Barrel have been busy teaching their followers the most effective and efficient way of serving up the healthy treat. "Here's a hack for the easiest way to cut watermelon," they said.

Grateful for the advice, one TikTok user responded: "I'll never cut a watermelon the same again." A second gushed: "I've been a chef for many years, that's a great demonstration of knife skills."

A third added: "I like cutting them like that - much better." And a fourth hailed: "Yo I hate watermelon, but I'd eat it this way. Looks gas!"
