'You just know' - Middlesbrough fans discuss West Brom clash
Steve Bruce is considering changes to his West Bromwich Albion team when they head north to Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Albion have an immediate opportunity to atone for their dreadful performance and defeat at Luton Town on Saturday, which has left them contemplating a mid-table Championship finish.
Boro meanwhile are eyeing a response of their own after surprisingly being turned over by Bristol City at Ashton Gate over the weekend; they’d lost just one of their previous 13 games in all competitions before the Robins dished out another defeat in the south west.
Boro under Chris Wilder sit seventh after an excellent run of form since his arrival as the new boss in the place of the outgoing Neil Warnock in November, four positions and three points above Albion.
For that reason alone, it’s a significant game in the campaigns of both clubs. This is what the home fans are saying...
West Brom’s run of six away games without a goal is their longest in one season since 1923/24! (ten games) Now you just know they will break that duck against #Boro
Awful final-third performance against a poor, poor Bristol City team. But the one thing you know you’re getting with Wilder is an expectation of a high level of performance. West Brom should be worried.
WBA haven’t scored under Bruce and this is also a make-or-break game for them; they can’t afford to lose again. With the players at their disposal they are massively under-performing.
Have we got enough to beat Steve Bruce and his band of men? We have, but whether we will when Andy Carroll is prowling around is unclear.
My opinion, the game can’t come quick enough. Loosing the much needed 3 points is a body blow but not the end of world but the league is tighter then a duck's
