'Yes please' - Aston Villa receive Liverpool transfer demand for bargain deal

Aston Villa fans have been discussing a potential move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi in the summer.

Origi is out of contract come the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer as things stand. The Belgian international came off the substitute's bench during Liverpool's 2-0 defeat of Everton on Sunday and influenced the game as soon as he came on.

Andy Robertson opened the scoring two minutes after the hour mark while Origi netted the second five minutes from time in a big win for the Reds in their Premier League title charge. Origi has made a name for himself as a big-game player with goals against Everton and in the Champions League semi-final and final in 2019.

There is certainly merit in making a move for Origi with the 27 year-old a top signing for any Premier League or European clubs looking to add to their strike force. Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins have been fighting it out for a place up front for Villa this season but the former has been linked with a move away from Villa Park less than a year into his stint with the club. "I'd love Origi at Villa," one fan wrote on social media while another added: "We are going to sign Origi in the summer aren’t we?"

"Origi at Villa next season, yes please," a third fan said. Another added: "I would sign Origi," while
