'Yes it's true' - Newcastle supporters will surely love what emerged on Sky Sports - opinion

Newcastle United supporters will be blown away by Jose Mourinho’s comments (which originated from Sky Sports) about their club to have emerged.

The Magpies have gone through a whirling of events and emotions over the last few months from being taken over by PIF, seeing Steve Bruce sacked, replaced by Eddie Howe, who had them ninth in the Premier League a few weeks ago.

Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, part-owners of Newcastle, have spoken to The Athletic about how they would love Howe to be like Sir Alex Ferguson for the Magpies and be with them for many years to come.

However, that hasn’t stopped pundits from backing Mourinho to be a ‘match made in heaven’ on Tyneside, although the manager has said he’s happy at Roma and not looking to change, but couldn’t hold back in talking about his admiration for the club his mentor Sir Bobby Robson managed for years, he said:

“I can only say, yes it’s true since Sir Bobby I learned what Newcastle is and I learned how to like the club very much from Sir Bobby’s eyes and heart. I’m very happy they’ve found their stability, Eddie is doing good work and the club gave him the tools for a change in the January market and he’s done the best.”

Some Newcastle fans were rather excited about the fact that Jose Mourinho had mentioned their club back late last year, so with him coming out and saying similar things again, there’s no doubt supporters will be just as excited now.
