Yannick Mettler to join Theeba Motorsport as fourth driver for Spa 24H

Yannick Mettler will join Reema Juffali, Ralf Aron and Alain Valente as they compete around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the fourth round of the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe and the third round of competition this season for Theeba Motorsport.

Hailing from Switzerland, Mettler’s career spans more than a decade, having previously competed in the German Formula Three Cup, Michelin Le Mans Cup and International GT Open.

Well-versed in GT racing, Mettler has previous experience driving in a 24-hour race, having competed in the Nurburgring 24 Hours, taking a hattrick of class wins from 2017-2019.

He is currently competing in another Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the Pro-Am Class in the 2023 International GT Open. He also competed in the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.

“I’m excited to join Theeba Motorsport for the 24H of Spa later this month,” said Mettler. “They are a young and motivated team and from the previous season, I know them as tough competitors on track, but also as great personalities in the paddock. I’m therefore very happy to join Reema, Ralf and Alain for their season highlight and will do my best to contribute to a strong result.

“I already got to work with the team at the official test days a few weeks ago, where we experienced two productive days and had the chance to familiarize (ourselves) with everything,” he added. “We are now looking forward to (building) on that momentum as we head into the race in a few weeks’ time.”
