Xbox Gold will no longer add Xbox 360 games
Later this year, Xbox Gold‘s monthly offers will be of lower quality because Microsoft has notified users that the program would cease adding Xbox 360 titles in October.

Due to Microsoft’s focus on Xbox Game Pass in recent years, many fans have come to view Xbox Gold as an afterthought. Four titles are available with Xbox Gold each month, one more than PlayStation Plus Essential. The key distinction is that PlayStation Plus games often have better quality than Xbox Gold games, especially because PS5 games will be included.
Xbox Game Pass typically receives Xbox Series X/S titles, whereas Xbox Gold receives Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox titles from Microsoft. PlayStation Plus Essential only offers PS4 and PS5 titles, so the fact that Xbox Gold offers games from previous systems is a benefit. However, given that the new PlayStation Plus subscription model has brought classic games back into the fold, this might change in the future.
