WWE WrestleMania 38: Bianca Belair says she's making history this weekend

Bianca Belair goes into Saturday’s massive WrestleMania match admitting she’s all about making history.

A year ago, The EST of WWE stole the show in the main event of night one of WrestleMania 37. Becoming the first black women to headline WWE’s premiere event, alongside Sasha Banks, and winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an emotional and historical crescendo to the show. 

This weekend she’s following up that iconic match-up with Sasha by creating more history when she steps in the ring with Becky Lynch and competes for the Raw Women’s Championship. Almost ten months after Lynch controversially beat her for the SmackDown title in just twenty-six seconds when Becky returned at SummerSlam. 

Talking exclusively to GiveMeSport Belair says she can’t wait to finally get her revenge on Becky Lynch in another historic WrestleMania moment.

We’re still making history this year. It will be the first time the only two women to have won a main event at WrestleMania going head-to-head. We’re still making history, but to be honest it’s way more personal this year and it’s about getting redemption from Becky Lynch. Whenever it’s personal you have more sides come out and it’s made this feud very special. I got to show that tenacity in me to get back to the top, it’s tested me and tested my character even though I wanted it to be all about the history between these two winners. I’ve loved the part where it’s really tested my character and showed that I can still be true to who I am and still catch whatever has been thrown at me. I just want to get to WrestleMania, and I want to win the Raw Women’s Championship.
