WWE SummerSlam: Top match cancelled due to injury in heartbreaking update
Triple H has been dealt a blow just days before his first Premium Live Event as Head of Creative, with one of his scheduled matches having to be cancelled.
One of the matches that fans were most excited about on the SummerSlam card was the showdown between Seth Rollins and Riddle.
Unfortunately, that match won’t be happening anymore, with Riddle being forced to miss the show due to injury.
The news was confirmed by WWE on The Bump this afternoon, with it being confirmed that Riddle had suffered a brachial plexus injury, otherwise referred to as a stinger.

Kayla Braxton said during the show that as a result of the injury, which Riddle sustained after being attacked by Rollins at the end of Raw this week, he’d lost a lot of weakness.
Braxton explained that until he regains full strength, WWE medical has disqualified Riddle from active competition.
As of right now, there’s no word on whether or not the injury is legitimate, so it’s unclear whether or not the former NXT star is really injured, or if this part of a storyline.
As of right now, there’s also no word on whether or not WWE is going to find a replacement opponent for Rollins at the show, or if he just won’t be involved.
