WWE SmackDown: Triple H dealt huge blow ahead of tonight's show

WWE is set to be without several of its roster members for SmackDown tonight due to Hurricane Ian.

Triple H will have been a big blow with several of the wrestlers he would have wanted to use tonight being unable to make it for SmackDown.

With many of the roster living in Florida, the devastating Hurricane Ian has prevented some of them from being able to travel to Canada for the show.

It was thought that WWE’s plans for SmackDown would be impacted by Hurricane Ian, and we now have confirmation of that.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Triple H will be without some of the roster for tonight’s show, via WrestleTalk.

WWE was also concerned over the Florida talent and their ability to get to Smackdown on 9/30 in Winnipeg and for the weekend house shows in Bismarck, ND, and Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At least some booked talent living in the Orlando area won’t be able to make the shows.

The report also explains that WWE’s house shows this weekend will be impacted, but the absences will obviously be felt more on SmackDown tonight, given that the show is televised.

At the time of writing, there is no word on which WWE Superstars look like they’re going to be unable to make the show tonight, but that will become clearer as SmackDown draws closer.

On last week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE announced three matches for this week’s show, but there’s no word on whether or not they’ll even be able to happen tonight.

First, The Bloodline’s Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa will team up to take on the tandem of Ricochet and Madcap Moss, who have been involved in segments with Roman Reigns’ faction over the last few weeks.
