WWE: Plans for exciting Edge faction to debut 'imminently'

With WWE WrestleMania 38 taking place tomorrow, some rather interesting plans that the company has for Edge have emerged.

Edge is set to face fellow former WWE Champion AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38 on Sunday night in a bout regarded as a ‘dream match’ by fans.

However, WWE could have some even bigger plans in store for the WWE Hall of Famer, as reported by Fightful Select.

The site is reporting that, unless things have changed, there are plans in store for Edge to have a faction added to his new heel presentation.

WWE is looking to add more to his presentation. We’re told there has been a particular pitch that has been talked about heavily from the creative side of things that would see Edge get a new stable.

The report also notes that some notable names have been discussed for the group, with one being Damian Priest.

There have been several notable names that have been discussed for the group, including former WWE United States Champion Damian Priest

Edge and Priest have spoken about wanting to work together for some, and Damian was even referenced in Edge’s promo during WWE Raw when he was teasing who his WrestleMania opponent would be.

However, rather than being on opposite sides of the ring, the report suggests that the duo will be teaming up.

As of right now, there is no word on who else is going to be added to the faction alongside Priest and Edge.

Fightful goes on to say that, unless plans have changed, the group could be appearing on TV pretty soon.

We’re told that unless plans change for the heel faction, that could begin to happen imminently.

Some have even speculated that Priest could help Edge beat AJ at WrestleMania 38 on Sunday night.
