World's Scariest Man Martyn Ford drops 58lbs in just six months

Bodybuilder Martyn Ford, also known as the ‘World’s Scariest Man’, lost a remarkable 60lbs ahead of his cancelled boxing debut.

The 39-year-old was due to fight Sajad Gharibi in an epic heavyweight boxing showdown later this month.

But in a devastating blow for his young boxing career, the fight has now been cancelled.

This might have been for the better for Gharibi as fans were concerned with his safety after a push from Ford sent him flying onto the floor when they clashed in Dubai last month.

Ford previously weighed around 360lbs and stands at an incredible 6ft 9in, but he has since revealed his incredible transformation on Instagram.

He wrote: “Lifting big a** weights v boxing. 360lbs v 302lbs.

“October I started this journey, and like anything I’ve done in life that I’ve really wanted to do, I’ve given absolutely everything and more. This is by far the best and healthiest I’ve felt in years, getting back to feeling 21 again is insane.”

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Ford said: “I don’t want to go down the route of talking about it; too much time and energy has been wasted.

“I’m still training hard and there will be a debut. There will be a fight.”

Despite this, Ford has reassured his fans that he will be fighting in the ring soon, despite no rumours of who his new opponent will be.

The British bodybuilder has come a long way since he was a skinny teenage cricket player. His dreams of a professional career were tragically cut short due to a bad bout with glandular fever.

He missed a crucial developmental season due to the disease, so instead of picking the bat and ball back up, he started pumping iron at the gym.
