World’s best drifters, bikers register for Ibadan N10m Fanfaro Autofest

Over 100 car drifters and bikers from Nigeria, South Africa, Estonia, Lebanon, Egypt and Ghana are set to compete for the N10 million prize at the 2024 Fanfaro Autofest in Ibadan, Oyo State on December 8.

The event, which will hold at the TCTC testing ground in Eleyele, Ibadan, with the theme: “Battle of Champions,” will showcase drifting skills, drag races, and custom displays by past champions in power biking and local stunts.

The Managing Director of Fanfaro Autofest, Mr. Olanrewaju Adekunle, stated that the automotive event will attract car enthusiasts, industry leaders, and families from across the country and beyond.

He emphasised that the Autofest promises an exhilarating showcase of automotive excellence, competition, and entertainment, adding that this year’s theme reflects a spirit of rivalry and celebration, highlighting top automotive brands and their latest innovations.

Adekunle noted that the event will create a vibrant atmosphere where automotive passion meets competitive spirit, explaining that the “Battle of Champions” is about drifters competing to crown one champion.

He also highlighted that the event will be a celebration of automotive culture in Nigeria and will give back to the community through charitable activities and initiatives.

Adekunle mentioned that this year’s event will include collaboration with local organisations to support important causes, such as DNI, a security app that helps people secure their spaces with the convenience of smartphone monitoring.

He added that DNI will provide a smart security system to safeguard participants and attendees at the Autofest, making it an internationally recognised event.
