World Darts Championship results LIVE as Wesley Plaisier and Ryusei Azemoto set to take to the oche
Saltires will fly in the Alexandra Palace and two Tartan hopes get their Paddy Power World Championship bids underway on day two.
Today sees the first double darts session of the tournament with a raider from north of the border featuring both in the afternoon and evening.
First up is Alan Soutar. The Fife fireman faces German Kai Gotthardt in a session which also sees Luke Woodhouse and James Wade get started.
Then later in the evening it’s the turn of Ayrshire’s hugely-popular Cameron Menzies to hit the stage as he faces American Leonard Gates.
Young talent Connor Scutt plays the game before Menzies, while the crowd will get fired-up for the return of Welshman Gerwyn Price, headphones or not, in the night’s finale.

Wesley Plaisier and Ryusei Azemoto are first onto the Palace stage this afternoon and there will be one very interested Scottish spectator watching back at his digs. Two-time World Champion Peter Wright will meet the winner of this contest on Tuesday night. Snakebire has been struggling for recent form and the pre-Christmas second round game is a dangerous one for him. Plaisier is a talent and big favourite to progress and set up the showdown.
