World Cup 2022 draw live: Start time, presenters, and how to watch in UK

Today, Gareth Southgate’s England squad will find out who they will be facing at this year’s World Cup.

Based on FIFA rankings, England are set to join hosts Qatar in Pot 1 along with Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, France, Spain, and Portugal.

One of Wales, Scotland, or Ukraine will also be in Qatar this November and December – but will not know until the remaining European play-offs in June.

The World Cup itself will take place between November 21 and December 18.

The draw takes place at 5pm BST.

The draw takes place in Doha, Qatar, so that is equivalent to 7pm in local time.

You can live stream the draw on the FIFA website.

The BBC will also be broadcasting all of the action on TV and BBC iPlayer.

Ex-Tottenham and England midfielder Jermaine Jenas will host BBC’s coverage of the draw.

Former England captain Alan Shearer, ex-Nigeria striker Efan Ekoku, and former Scotland forward James McFadden plus journalists Julien Laurens and Tim Vickery will be among the guests, with Jonathan Pearce commentating on the draw.
