Women's Euro 2022: 7 Players tipped for Golden Boot

The Women’s Euro 2022 campaign is nearly underway, so let’s take a look at seven players who are in with a shout of the Golden Boot at the upcoming competition.

The competition begins in mid-July and will be hosted all over England, giving the Lionesses‘ squad home advantage in a competition where they’re one of the favourites to take home the Euro 2022 crown.

There is going to be mass amounts of talent on show at this year’s competition, with the standard of women’s football growing exponentially over the past few years, so it really is something to take your time out and give a watch. However, a lot of fans still don’t know where some of the talents lie within women’s football, as a lot of leagues still aren’t covered by the masses.

So, we thought we’d compile a list of seven players that are tipped for the Golden Boot at Euro 2022 – scroll down below to find out who they are.

One of the greatest goalscorers in the women’s game right now – is Vivianne Miedema.

She has a remarkable 92 international goals in as little as 108 games for the Oranje and will be looking to add to that tally in this upcoming competition. She guarantees goals, Vivianne Miedema is our first woman that is tipped for the Golden Boot.

With over 100 career goals at the age of just 23. Marie-Antoinette Katoto is one hell of a player.

She was always destined for greatness after her UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship Player of the Tournament award in 2016, but no one could’ve predicted how quickly she would establish herself as one of Europe’s elite forwards.

With France being one of the favourites in this comp, expect a golden boot shout for Katoto.
