Women’s Champions League semi-finals: Date, draw, & everything to know

The UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals are set and if they’re anywhere near as good as the quarter-finals, we’re in for a treat. 

Barcelona’s historic tie against Real Madrid at the Nou Camp broke the record for the highest attendance ever at a women’s game and delivered a truly unforgettable atmosphere. 

Now, with the next round fast approaching, there is every chance of going one step better and a realistic possibility of smashing the attendance record once again. 

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming semi-finals:

This year’s semi-finals are as follows: 

Barcelona vs Wolfsburg

Lyon vs PSG

Barcelona are the defending European champions and knocked Madrid out 8-3 on aggregate to reach the last four. 

Meanwhile, Wolfsburg ended any hopes of an English winner by eliminating Arsenal. The German side have long been one of the world’s best domestic sides and have reached the Champions League final on five occasions across the last decade –– winning twice. 

The other semi-final will be an all-French affair. The two sides met in the quarter-finals last year and it was PSG who knocked out the five-time European champions. 

Lyon overcame a spirited Juventus side 4-3 on aggregate in the previous stage, while PSG eliminated Bayern, thanks to a Ramona Bachmann goal in extra-time of the second leg.

Lyon vs PSG:

First leg- Sunday, April 24th (17:00 GMT)
