Women's AIL final postponed following pitch inspection
Tonight's All Ireland Women's League final has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch in Donnybrook.
Defending champions Railway Union had been due to face Blackrock in a repeat of last season's decider, but after a pitch inspection, Energia Park has been declared unplayable by the IRFU due to the snowfall and freezing conditions in Dublin last night.
"Today's Energia AIL final has been postponed as weather conditions have made the pitch unplayable," Irish Rugby tweeted this afternoon.
"The IRFU will advise on new fixture details in due course."
Railway are going for a third AIL title in a row, having defeated Blackrock 24-18 in last season's final in February.
However, Ben Martin's Blackrock finished the regular season with a 100% record, including a 19-17 win against Railway when they met last month.
