Wolves star Ruben Neves 'is a top target for Arsenal this summer'

Arsenal are set to join the summer battle to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new central midfielder in the upcoming window and they are very interested in the 25-year-old, according to Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old is in contract talks with Wolves but has been linked with Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United. 

But doubts over their summer spending plans have encouraged the Gunners to pursue a deal for the Portugal star.

It comes after Wolves boss Bruno Lage said Neves will cost potential suitors £100million if he is to leave the club. 

Reports have suggested that Neves is Erik Ten Hag's number one target should the Ajax boss take over at Old Trafford this summer.

'I don't know if it's Man United or other teams, what I know is we have a special player here with us,' Wolves boss Lage said.
