Wolves midfielder hailed as the "most outstanding" player in Sheffield United team

Barnsley manager Poya Asbaghi has admitted Wolves' loanee Morgan Gibbs-White is the "most outstanding" player for Sheffield United.

The Blades beat relegation strugglers Barnsley 2-0 in the Yorkshire derby at Bramall Lane in the Championship on Saturday. The 22-year-old doubled Sheffield's advantage after he struck his ninth goal of the campaign in the second half.

Since joining the South Yorkshire side on a season long loan spell from Wolves, he has enjoyed a breath of fresh air - contributing to the Blades' journey in their push for promotion. In his 27 appearances for United, he was only named on the bench twice, participating in the starting eleven 25 times.

Despite scoring his ninth goal, it was also his 16th goal involvement alongside an impressive seven assists. Following the win, the Barnsley boss said his movement is what makes task harder for opposition to play against him.

"He's a really good player," Asbaghi told Yorkshire Live. "I think Sheffield United have a lot of good players, but he is the most outstanding one.

"Of course we respect him and what he can do. He's good like he showed for the goal, scoring and running in behind, but he is so good when he drops in-between the centre backs and the midfield to receive the ball to attack the spaces from there.

"For sure, these are things that we knew, but you cannot just take care of him by giving one specific instruction to a centre back, because then he will drop so deep that the centre backs have to push too high.

"So it's a sharing between the central midfielders and the centre backs to be able to share the responsibility in between knowing when is it that the central midfielder has to drop and protect the space and when do they have to leave for the
