Wolves' latest link could see Barcelona, Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho transfer tussle

Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with Valencia striker Goncalo Guedes.

The Portuguese was previously linked with a move to Molineux last summer. Wolves were reportedly prepared to bid €25million (£21m) for the striker and were looking to offload Rafa Mir and Romain Saiss in the exchange of Guedes and Kang-in Lee.

But the move never materialised and Mir then ended up heading the other way to Sevilla. According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, Guedes is once again in Wolves' radar ahead of the summer but are not alone in their pursuit, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and AS Roma also said to be interested.

Guedes who is represented by Jorge Mendes, will enter the final 12 months of his contract at the end of this season. And with Mendes' close ties with Wolves, it is possible this could have an influence in the deal given Mendes' successful deals with the club previously.

But many issues are yet to be resolved. Adama Traore's future is still unclear after he joined Barcelona on loan for the remainder of the season.

While it is uncertain whether Francisco Trincao will become a permanent player at Molineux. Bruno Lage does have the option to make the move permanent for £25million.

That also puts Hwang Hee-chan in the equation, should the Portuguese striker arrive at the side in the summer and what it could mean for the South Korean international. His move to Molineux was made permanent in January for £14m after an initial loan spell from RB Leipzig.

Guedes, a versatile striker has operated both on the left and through the middle for Jose Bordalas this campaign - causing problems with his pace and dribbling. In his 28 appearances, he has contributed with 11 goals and five assists along the way.
