"Wolves have...": Journo drops big Molineux transfer claim, supporters surely buzzing - opinion

After a mixed spell at Wolves, it appears as if Adama Traore’s time at Molineux could soon be up, as he targets a move away this summer.

The Spain international has regularly been linked with other clubs in the past few years and after spending the second half of last season on loan with Barcelona, it seems unlikely that he will be in Bruno Lage’s squad next season.

The likes of Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the former Aston Villa man and unfortunately for the Old Gold, Traore’s heart seems set on a transfer away.

Reports have suggested that he has been available for as little as £10m, as Wolves look to avoid losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of next season.

In a recent interview with GIVEMESPORT, journalist Josh Holland provided a claim on the winger’s situation, saying:

“£10 million for someone like Traore – I think a lot of Wolves fans would take that as it’s better than letting his contract run down and losing him on a free.

“He would have wanted his loan move to Barcelona to work, but it’s obviously not, so Wolves have now got to cash in or have a player who supposedly is unhappy at the club.”

Traore’s form in the 2019/20 season, when he averaged an incredible 7.49 rating from WhoScored after contributing four goals and nine assists in the top-flight, emphasises that he can be a top player when he is at the peak of his powers.

However, his performance levels have dropped significantly since then, with just three goals and two assists in the two seasons since then.

He has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be at Molineux any longer and his pre-season injury suggests that Wolves fans probably won’t see him again.

Although he can be dangerous
