Wolves: 26 y/o star 'doesn't want to stay' at Molineux amid exit talk

Wolves winger Adama Traore wants to leave Molineux in the transfer window and could be available for £10 million, according to journalist Josh Holland.

Barcelona turned down the chance to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent deal this summer but a departure from Bruno Lage’s side still seems likely with Newcastle United among the interested parties.

His explosive pace has made Traore a target for many clubs since breaking through with Wolves but this summer it appears likely he will finally get his move.

January saw the Spain international signed by Barcelona on a temporary deal until the end of the 2021-22 campaign and although the Catalan giants will not be moving forward with a permanent deal, other sides remain interested.

Freshly wealthy Newcastle appear to be in the race for Traore at the time of writing. The Saudi Public Investment Fund that purchased the club from Mike Ashley in October have their sites set higher up the Premier Leaue table and an explosive talent like Traore could be an attractive option.

They are not alone in the pursuit, however, as Everton, Leeds United and West Ham reportedly have ambitions of their own regarding the 26-year-old.

It is no surprise either, with a report from The Athletic revealing that Wolves value the winger at just £10 million.

Holland told GIVEMESPORT when asked whether those reports could be true. “I don’t think he actually wants to stay at Wolves. I think his comments and his actions last season before he went to Barcelona kind of said that, obviously refused to sign a new contract. He’s been linked away for a few years now.“

As things stand, it seems far likelier than not that Traore will be plying his trade away from Molineux come the start of next season.
