England new boy Conor Gallagher would be a perfect addition for Liverpool.
That’s according to former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino, who feels the 22-year-old midfielder would fit seamlessly into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI.
Gallagher made his full England debut on Saturday night in the 2-1 win over Switzerland at Wembley. It was reward for his impressive form for Crystal Palace, for whom he has scored eight goals in 30 appearances since joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Cascarino does not believe his former club would sell Gallagher to rivals Liverpool, who beat Chelsea in this season’s Carabao Cup final and who could yet come up against Thomas Tuchel’s team in the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League, too. But the 59-year-old reckons the rising star would thrive working under Reds boss Klopp.
“Conor Gallagher is an outstanding attacking midfielder who always looks like he’s going to get a goal or make an assist,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
