Will Smith hitting Chris Rock at Oscars gets reaction from UFC's Dana White

UFC president Dana White has reacted to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on national television during last night’s Oscars ceremony.

With the world watching on Sunday evening, Will Smith and Chris Rock created one of the most insane TV moments of all-time.

Rock, who has been known for edgy jokes in the past, opted to comment on Jada Pinkett Smith’s new hair-do during the broadcast by suggesting he was looking forward to “G.I. Jane 2”.

Jada didn’t appear to be particularly impressed by the joke and despite Will initially laughing, the reality of what Rock had said quickly sunk in.

Jada previously decided to shave her head as a result of an ongoing battle with alopecia, prompting Will to stand up and slap Chris on stage.

Later that night the King Richard star won the Best Actor award for his performance in the biopic and subsequently apologised to the Academy for his actions.

As it turns out, Dana White was also watching closely and couldn’t help but be impressed by how it all went down.

There’s been a lot of debate regarding the morality of what happened but for the time being, everyone seems to be focusing on just how shocking it was.

Chris Rock has reportedly decided to not press charges against Smith and, in all likelihood, will hope to see the issue fade into obscurity – but somehow, we can’t picture that happening.
