"Will probably go" - Journalist stills expects major Leeds United exit at Elland Road

Leeds United star Raphinha is still likely to leave Elland Road this summer, according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

Barcelona are yet to agree a deal to sign the winger, but Taylor still expects him to depart in the upcoming transfer window.

The reliable Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Raphinha has made joining Barcelona a priority but nothing is close at this moment in time.

The transfer guru also stated that Leeds have no intention of selling their player for anything less than €55m (£46m).

The 25-year-old was once again key for the Whites in the season that has just gone, scoring in that vital 2-1 win over Brentford in the last game of the campaign to help keep his side in the Premier League.

In total, Raphinha made 35 appearances in the top flight, finding the back of the net on 11 occasions.

Taylor thinks Raphinha is too good for Leeds and believes he will find it extremely hard to turn down a club like Barcelona this summer.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Daily Express journalist said: “The way we look at it, Raphinha will probably go because, with all due respect, he’s too good for Leeds and to have a club like Barcelona come in, it’s a once in a lifetime kind of move.

“So I don’t think it’d be the worst thing for all parties if he was moved on at the right price.”

His offensive stats quite clearly show that he is a level above his Leeds team-mates.

Not only did he score the most goals in his side, but he also averaged the most key passes and dribbles per game.

As per WhoScored, Raphinha made 1.9 key passes and 1.8 dribbles on average, proving to be the Whites’ most dangerous attacker.
