Everton have two months remaining to save their season or face the prospect of playing Championship football for the 2022/23 campaign.

Frank Lampard's side were beaten 1-0 by Wolves on Sunday afternoon to increase pressure on the Blues' bid to beat the drop, with Conor Coady scoring the only goal of the game. Things don't get any easier in the weeks ahead either, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United still to play.

Up next for the Toffees is Newcastle United on Thursday evening at Goodison Park, in what is shaping up to be a crucial fixture in the context of the season. Everton have only beaten Leeds United in the top-flight since the turn of the year and are lurking dangerously above the drop zone.

After taking on Newcastle this week, away trips to West Ham United and Burnley are next on the agenda for Lampard's side. The latter of these two contests will be viewed as a must-win game, with the Clarets only one point behind the Blues as things stand.

The question is: do Everton have what it takes to stay up this season?
