Why Kell Brook changed gloves in the ring after Amir Khan fight dispute
Amir Khan's grudge match with Kell Brook was delayed following a dispute behind the scenes regarding the gloves.
Following the completion of the undercard, which included Frazer Clarke's professional debut and Natasha Jonas' world-title triumph, all eyes were on the main event.
However, fans waited eagerly for the long-awaited bout were faced with a further delay as a complaint was made regarding Brook's gloves.
Sky Sports announced the delay live on air, though details were scarce and it wasn't made clear who the complaint came from or what exactly the issue was.
While Khan was warming up, Brook was shut inside his changing room and Sky Sports' stated they had been refused entry on numerous occasions.
However, the issue soon appeared to be resolved as Brook was later pictured leaving his dressing room and making his way to the ring.
Upon his arrival in the ring, the commentary team the announced the issue was that Brook wasn't wearing the gloves that he was contracted to and was instead wearing horse hair gloves.
Horse hair gloves expose the knuckles through the gloves more than the usual foam and he was forced to change his gloves inside the ring.
