In the home match for LSG, KL Rahul will not be leading the side and instead it will be Nicholas Pooran who will be the stand-in captain. To make matters more interesting, Rahul will not be missing the match and has been named as an impact substitute. In fact, commentators in Jio Cinema said he has been listed as the No. 3 in the team sheet.

"KL is coming back from injury and we're looking to give him a break in such a long tournament, but he'll play as an impact player today. Everyone must take the opportunities and perform at their best," Pooran said.

PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan said at the toss that they happy to bowl first. "We would have bowled first, lots of dew when we came to the ground (last night).
