Arsenal are bizarrely wearing red shorts for their Premier League clash against Watford.
The Gunners typically don white shorts when they wear their red home kit, having worn red shorts just once in the last 45 years - during a 1-1 draw with West Brom back in December 2017.
As the Baggies also wear white shorts the Premier League deemed it to be a clash despite the two sides both wearing their home strip during the corresponding fixture at the Emirates Stadium that season.
However, considering the Hornets play in black shorts it is difficult to understand the reason that Mikel Arteta 's men have opted to wear a full red kit at Vicarage Road.
Premier League rules state: "When playing in league matches the players of each participating club shall wear a strip which is of a sufficient contrast that match officials, spectators and television viewers will be able to distinguish clearly between the two teams."
Reaction to the kit was mixed from fans as some supporters took to social media to admit they were left unimpressed with the club's decision whilst some liked the change. Here is what a select few on Twitter said.
