Who plays Jimmy Saville in BBC's The Reckoning?

A new drama looking into the life and crimes of TV star Jimmy Savile will air on the BBC. The Reckoning explores the disgraced presenter's rise to fame and his horrific offending that lay undiscovered until after his death in 2011.

Steve Coogan stars as Savile in the four-part true crime drama. The 57-year-old actor, who grew up in Middleton, is best known for playing radio DJ Alan Partridge in several comedy series and has also starred in films including Stan & Ollie, Philomena and Greed.
