'Who knows' - Wolves claim emerges amid developments this week

Wolves‘ squad could be about to get even stronger if they manage to qualify for Europe, believes transfer insider Dean Jones.

Bruno Lage already possesses some talented players, including the likes of Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez, and Jones thinks the Portuguese manager will have a good chance to add to that depending on how this campaign finishes.

After losing their first three games of the term without scoring, it looked like it was going to be a disappointing season for Wolves.

However, fast forward to now and it has been the opposite. Under Lage, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo last summer, the Midlands club are enjoying a very successful 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

They recently climbed to seventh in the table after back-to-back wins against Everton and Watford, meaning that they have a very good chance of qualifying for either the Europa League or Europa Conference League.

Eighth-placed Tottenham, though, have two games in hand on them, so Lage’s men will not be getting too excited just yet.

Jones thinks Wolves have real potential and has hinted at significant additions being made if they can secure European football come May.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “If they qualify for Europe, then who knows how strong this squad could be by next summer because I think they’ve got real potential here.”

One player who Wolves are thought to be looking at is Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa.
