Who is in The Last Bus cast on Netflix and what is the series about?

Netflix has a new original comedy-action series out today (April 1). The Last Bus follows a group of school children attending the launch of new robots designed to clean up the environment. However, something goes horribly wrong and now the children must fight back.

The thrilling series has 10 episodes and stars The Umbrella Academy and Misfits fan-favourite Robert Sheehan who serves as the series antagonist, Dalton Monkhouse. The scientist who built the robots that wiped humanity.

Sheehan is joined by Tom Basden (After Life) and fresh new talent, Moosa Mostafa, who plays Nas the 12-year old child prodigy. Phoebe De Silva plays Sophie, Nas’ intelligent older sister, Lauryn Ajuro plays Misha, Sophie’s best friend. Daniel Frogson plays Tom the “Beta Male”.

Other cast members include Nathaniel Saleh as Josh, the goofy emphatic class clown that cares for his sick mother. There's also Carys John, as Bethan, with bundles of energy that keeps the group’s positivity going. As well as Marlie Morrelle, Curtis Kantsa and Lara McDonnell.

The series follows students travelling to the launch of the ‘genie orbs’, robots designed to clean up the environment. However, when the intelligence-powered orbs are introduced by tech billionaire Dalton Monkhouse, they seem to vaporise everything in the room and the kids make a lucky escape to their old school bus.

As they head home and take in everything that happened, they are met by an empty world with no humans. The students then make it their mission to fight back and embark on a journey to find Dalton Monkhouse but they are confronted with a
